Ivanhoe – AudioBooks
Sir Walter represented the Romantic Period like no other author of his time. The Waverley Novels he authored from 1814 to 1831 were widely read throughout Europe, making him one of the most popular authors of the early 19th century.
Through the end of the 1950s, high school students were required to read Ivanhoe as an integral part of their English literature study.
Sir Walter was an agnatic descendant of Sigge “Odin” Fridulfsson of Asgard (50 BC – 30 AD) 1st King of Scandinavia, Sveidi ‘the Sea King’ Heytirsson (650 – 710) and Thorfinn “the Black”, 18th Jarl of Orkney (1009 – 1064) .
